The Value Management System
The VMS is designed to provision the optimal path to support tiered ethernet services and optimize network utilization and service resiliency. Using an elegant network-view GUI, subscription templates, and "drag and drop" creation, operators can easily provision new services across any Ethernet topology. The VMS is the ideal way to configure, manage, abstract and visualize networks for Carrier Ethernet.
Multi-Constraint Path Provisioning
Using the VMS, a service operator may specify EIR, CIR, and 8 Classes of Service (CoS) based on QoS parameters (delay, delay variation, loss) to ensure a path determined by the provisioning algorithm that supports the required SLAs. The operator may also specify provisioning policies based on parameters such as cost, load balancing and traffic type.
RESOURCE MANAGEMENT AND PREDICTABLE NETWORKS
The VMS manages bandwidth resource allocations across the network and manages traffic profiles to ensure proper allocation of resources and managed traffic flows for a predictable network operation.
